Stardate:2406.05.17 (USS Nimitz – Sickbay –ACMO – Ensign (jg) BigWill Kinkaid – 1100) After a brief conversation with Jennah Winters-Dark, Kinkaid did not mean to be rude to her by ending it so abruptly, but his sickbay was coming alive and his presence was needed. He called on Nurse Janet Sanders to comfort Jennah while he was helping his patients. Ensign Onyx Kateb was coming to from the sedative weary off. Kinkaid activated his medical tricorder and scanned Onyx. The readings showed that the sedative had subsided from her body. “Dr. Kinkaid… Did Captain Sash come in? I don’t remember if he did. I remember hearing a voice but then nothing else.” Onyx said. Kinkaid paused for a moment before responding. “The captain was here when you were transported to sickbay, but he had more pressing issues to deal with and could not stay.” Onyx feeling a bit groggy said, “I don’t want to sleep. I think I have been awake since the half hour now, but I feel groggy a little now.” Kinkaid noted that and said, “Yes, you will feel groggy for a bit due to your body trying to recover from the sedative, but a little exercise and your body will feel 110% better.” (Reply Kateb, anyone) (Posted by Nathan M. It would be a bit before he could get here, so she settled down for a nap. It had been a really stressful couple of days. She woke up to a bright beam shining in her eyes. She looked up into the face of the captain. She scrambled back, away from him. She wasn't trapped, but somehow he had found her. "How did you find me?" She asked, knowing the answer. The Doctor had told on her. "The Doctor told on me right?" She asked, eyes very wide and scared. Sash looked at her sternly. "The doctor knew where you were? He and I will have to have words about that. No, he did not tell on you. HowI found you is my little secret, but let's suffice it to say that I did find you. Can you explain your presence on this ship, young lady. I believe that your mother thinks you are safely on Betazed." She backed away from the stern look. "I, uh... I..." She said, her eyes wide and scared. She considered bolting, but the Captain would find her again, and this time probably send security forces after her. "How did you know I was here?" She asked, ingeniously. "My grandmotherthinks I'm visiting with friends." She said, hoping that he would forget about why she was here. David had told her that the best way to avoid a question she didn't want to answer was to ask a different one. Sash smiled, recogniizing the strategy that she was employing. His own children had become quite adept at trying to change his attention. He wasn't buying into it. "Did you think what would happen once your grandmother found out you were missing? Don't you think she would be worried about you?" "She would know I wasn't dead." Jennah replied stubbornly. "Well," Sash smiled for the first time, "we'll let that go for now. However, I will be expecting that you will call your gandmother to tell her where you are, and not to worry about you." Jennah looked at him strangely. "If I call her, she'll make me go back to Betazed. And I'm not going back." She said, crossing her arms and glaring at him. Sash made a very noncomittal, "Well, we'll have to see about that when your mother is better. Meanwhile, I'm not setting you adrift...yet." He sat down in the cramped space and looked around. "You seem to have made yourself quite at home here," the captain commented. "Are these accommodations more to your liking than your usual quarters?" Jennah shook her head. "I had to find a place to hide. David said that the best place to hide on the ship was here. He took me to a couple places and told me how to hide if the ship ever got boarded. He said that the sensors were patchy here, and that if I hid under this." And she held up the spider-silk "That no one could see me." She indicated a pillow where the Captain could take a seat. "Did he now," Sash looked at the girl with curiosity. "I'd be interested to know what else your father told you about this ship. It could come in handy." Suddenly the big Angosian snapped his fingers. "I just had an idea. What you really need, perhaps to help keep yopu on board, is a position. If you had a job then maybe your mother might let you stay. Now let me see, what would be a good job for a person who had a lot of knowledge about the little intricacies of a ship. I know, how about I make you Captain's Personal Intelligence Officer?" Jennah smiled. "Do I get to be an officer like Mommy and David?" She asked, curious. "And wear a pretty uniform? Mommy hates her uniform, but David said that the uniform is something to be proud of. He said that only the best people got to be Officers." She said, proudly. "David used to take me and the klingon boy around. The klingon boy was mad about the marines. He wanted to be one too." She shook her head. "I wouldn't be a good marine, and I wouldn't be a good Counsellor like Mommy. I think I'd make a good science officer. They get to have all the fun." She grinned. "Why are you being so nice to me? I thought the Captain threw stow-aways into the brig. Susan wouldn't've put up with it, but Mommy said you are much nicer than Susan. What's going to happen to Susan and to Shun and Loren? They miss her, and Susan doesn't feel like she's there anymore." Jennah stopped to take a breath before launching into her next series of questions. "Where are we going next? David said that the Federation was going to fight a war. Is that true? David said wars were bad. Are they?" She asked with a child's curiosity. Somehow Devan Sash had been accepted by her as a good person, one to be trusted. He wasn't going to make her stay on Betazed. Sash had to force himself not to laugh. His head realed from all of the girls questions. "Captain Rivers was a different person than I. I used to have children too, so maybe I understand you a little better than she. I'm glad you think I'm nice, but you know what I do with officers who don't do as they are told? So it is important that you do as you are told. Do you understand what I'm saying? Even if you don't agree with it." "You yell at them, with Mummy around. And then you give them yucky jobs as punishment, or demote them, or make them work extra. And if they are really bad you send them to the brig and throw them out of the service, like they tried to Jayne's Daddy after she died and he killed the bad man. We have to obey the Captain, cuz he keeps us all alive?" "That's what good officers do. I bet David told you that." Jennah grinned, and blushed. "You didn't know David, did you?" She asked. "Mummy loves you like she loved David. I miss having a Dad." She said sadly, tears forming in her eyes. Sash started to get a little uncomfortable with the turn of the conversation but his heart went out to this little girl. He put his arm around her and gave her a little squeeze. "I bet you do. Can I tell you a little secret." Jennah nodded her head, "sometimes I miss having a family too. But don't tell anyone, okay?" Jennah nodded, wiping the tears away with her sleeve."What was your family like?" She asked, curiously, sniffling. Sash got a far off look for a moment, then refocused. "They were, in some ways, like you and your mother. I tried very hard to keep them safe, like your mother is trying to do for you. Unfortunately, I can't be everywhere at one time." He shook his head and sent the memories back to where they belonged. "I'm sure your mom doesn't love me quite the way she loved David. We are really just very good friends," Sash said, trying to reasure himself, aswell as Jennah. Then he looked at her and changed subjects. "What do you say we get out of here and go see your mom. Besides, I kind of need to talk to the doctor." Jennah tilted her head, in a classicly Vanyssa pose. "I guess so. I saw h er not long ago. She isn't really there, that is why I called that man." Jennah said. "You aren't going to yell at the Doctor are you?" She asked. "I begged him not to tell anyone." She said, looking down at the floor. "I understand," Sash said, "and I'll try not to be too hard on him, but he could have helped a lot of people not worry simply by telling me that he knew you were here, and that he'd talked to you. But let's not worry about that right now. Let's go see your mother." At that he held out his hand. Jennah took it and they crawled out of the Jeffries tube and made their way towards sickbay. (reply none) (posted by Melinda Martin and Al Muir) Stardate:2406.05.18 (USS Nimitz - Quarters- Dr. Riven Mias - 1100) Riven had woken up, done his normal morning ritual, then went to see how Vanyssa was doing. With a couple of blocks here and there, she was doing very well. There were minor things that needed to be reconnected as she processed everything, but for the most part she seemed to be herself. Riven touched the wall outside of sickbay, he wanted to speak with the Captain. "Dr. Mias to Captain Sash." Riven said, curbing his arrogance again. =^=Sash here, go ahead doctor.=^= "I would like to speak with you about the Commander's condition." Riven's eyes widened as one of the nurses entered sickbay, her mind in such turmoil and hurt that it called out to him. "Would it be possible for me to meet you in your ready room ?" Riven had spent some time on a starship in his days, he knew his way around. He made a note to deal with the nurse later. =^=Certainly doctor. I'll expect you soon.=^= Riven walked slowly towards the bridge, tasting the emotions of the crewaround him. Most of the crew was on Betazed, but some of them were here, and they weren't very happy. He rang the chime outside the Captain'sready room, and when the acknowledgement came, took the offered seat. Riven leaned back, observing the Captain. He looked overly tired, andhis mental aura was tinged in spots with brown, a sign of exhaustion. The uncomfortable silence continued for a few moments, when Riven said,"I thought you were here to be relaxing Captain. Any Healer worth their salt would be prescribing you a vacation." He began. "No one would dare think that you were actually on one." Then he smiled widely, one of the braids with a silver charm falling into his face. He brushed it away,as if it were an irritation. Sash smiled and nodded at the doctor. He had never met anyone that looked quite the way Riven did. "Well I would have said that I was more rested until yesterday morning. And, of course, the captain is the last to actually get to relax." Suddenly Sash grew serious. "So tell me doctor, what is the prognosis wth Nessa, I mean Lt. Commander Winters." Riven nodded, changing the subject. "She is somewhat better, and more herself. If you have been to see her when she was awake, she is much more aware of her surroundings." He said very carefully, as if picking his words. "That day in the alternate universe when Vanyssa killed the alternate Troi, a seed was planted as the alternate was dying. It is a fairly common technique in that world, and very easy to do." He widened his hands as if to show he meant no harm. "The entity began to grow, much in the same way a seed does, it turns into a plant and grows into a tree - the entity slowly took over her personality, and eventually sublimated Vanyssa. "The result was that the alternate Kestra Troi had full possession of our Vanyssa's rather formidable mental abilities, with the alternate's personality and training. We should be thankful that the personality wasn't fully rooted by the time that this universe's Kestra?" He asked the Captain, "Decided to link all the telepaths on the ship and burn out the persona inside of Vanyssa." He shook his head at the rather crude methods employed. "I've gone ahead and broken the barrier that kept Vanyssa locked away and dragged her back into the spot she was supposed to be in." Describing mind-healing to a non-telepath was like describing magic to a nonbeliever. "I healed a lot of the damage that was caused when this realities Kestra Troi burnt Vanyssa's...channels?" He said. "That isn't the right word, but think of it t his way, a mind is like a river, and the telepathic center more so. Kestra bombed the banks of the river. I planted new grass and encouraged the water to flow there again." He nodded, happy with the analogy. "I also went ahead and reconstructed some of the more important memories of the last couple of months from her friend, Ms. Katharynne Troi. Such as her promotion to first officer." He coughed, not mentioning the things that he hadn't restored, like the Captain's affair with Kestra Troi. He leaned back in the chair. "With a lot of rest, and several more sessions with me, Vanyssa will be able to resume her duties in a limited capacity in a couple of days. I would advise after I leave the ship, that she spend some time every day with your Counsellor, who is a moderate telepath and more than capable of dealing with the general...anxiety...that Vanyssa will be dealing with in regards to the missing months. At the moment she does not realize that David Dark is dead, Captain, and I will get her through that, washing away the pain that that is going to cause her." He nodded again, somewhat pleased with the work that he had done so far. "Actually doctor," Sash interrupted, "if you don't mind, I'd rather be the one to give that news to her. She might take it a little differently. She was there for me when I had trouble letting go of the death of my family." Riven indicated his head in agreement. They talked for a few minutes more. Towards the end of the conversation, Riven said, "I have two favors to ask, Captain. One is that I stay aboard for the next couple of weeks and two is that you remand the alternate Vanyssa Winters to my clinic on Betazed. We are more than well equipped to deal with the likes of her....and it would be wrong to take her to someplace like a Federation Penal Colony. If the alter Sevant has survived, we are prepared to take him also." Riven looked the Captain dead on, making it clear that he would not take a no for an answer. "Personally doctor," Sash said, recognizing the posture the doctor was taking, "I have no problem with that. It certainly would solve my problem with what to do with them. However, I would need to clear that with Starfleet Command." Then he looked carefully at the doctor, "I would appreciate your help with us for Nessa's recovery. Of course your welcome, as long as I'm not taking you away from anything. I will clear it with your government." Riven nodded. "If you would be so kind. Thank you for your hospitality, Captain. And thank you for permission to stay on board. I want to be here if Vanyssa relapses after she finds out about her... husband. " And he said the last word as if it were a curse. Sash thought that Riven's last comment seemed a little strange. "Tell me doctor, Lt. Commander Winters is important to me, but why would you. Be willing to leave everything you are in the middle of for her?" Riven was startled. "Very astute, Captain." He said. "But I could ask you why she was so very important to you?" He countered. "She was one of my students. One of my more favored students. In my day I was very infatuated with her, but she was very shy, and kept to herself. She has kept in touch with me during the years, and I found her marriage to a human to be somewhat beneath her rank in Betazoid society. Her duty to society was to produce a daughter to continue the House line. Her line is going to die off now, because she has not produced a full Betazoid daughter." He smiled pleasantly, not liking his internal turmoil. He looked away from the Captain. "Yes, I love her very much, Captain. And yes, I am a very selfish old man." And then he looked directly into the Captain's eye. "None of which would get in the way of my working with her. I knew her very intimately, Captain, she was my student, and for the more advanced .. techniques... it requires a mind to mind link. She knew how I felt about her the moment she linked with me when she was 18, Captain. She also chose, of all the various young men chasing her at the clinic to spend some of her off duty time with me. It never went beyond the range of friendship." And with that he held up his hand. He disliked dealing with humans (and by this he meant non-telepaths) for they tended to ask questions no Betazoid would ask because a Betazoid would already know the answer. "She is a very special woman, Devan Sash. You are lucky that she gives you her love." And with that, Riven got up and walked over to the viewport, looking down at Betazed. "Well," Sash said, feeling a little awkward at the feelings being shared, "I agree that she is a special person. However, as to the level of love that we share..." He seemed to be denying his feelings to a lot of people lately. He really didn't like the trend. "I do care for her deeply. It would just be ... awkward for us to have anything right now." Riven nodded. "Because she is your FO, or because she doesn't mean as much to you as she thinks that she does?" He asked, with typical Betazoid lack of tact, asking the most piercing question to get to the heart of the issue. "It is none of my business, other than from what people say, her lack of self-confidence is what triggered this. I don't want to see her like this ever again, Captain." He said, still observing the planet. "Nor do I," Sash agreed, not answering to the doctor's charges. "She's waking up and I should be there when she does. I am going to convince that Doctor to pull her off of the suppression drugs so that I can see the extent of the damage to her telepathic abilities now that her personality is healing and the damage to her mind physically is also healing." He smiled and shook his head. "I'll keep you informed." Riven realized that he should probably wait to be dismissed, and looked at the Captain squarely. They both stood there in a moment of awkward silence. Sash unsure of whether he should dismiss the civilian doctor and the doctor uncertain to whether he needs to wait to be dismissed. "Yes, yes, thank you doctor. I'd appreciate your report as soon as possible." The doctor took his leave, Sash turned back to his view of the planet. The words of the doctor cut deeply into Sash's mind. Was it possible that he was right. Does she mean as much to Sash as he thought. He shook off the doubt. ~Damn the man.~ (reply none) (posted by Al muir and Melinda Martin) Stardate:2406.05.18 Mission:  A Trip to Paradise Mission, Day 4 Stardate:  2406.05.18   (USS Nimitz - Holodeck - Ensign Jason Dema - 1300)   Jason always loved to work out a few hours a day, do he went to the holodeck for a volleyball simulation this time. and just as he began he heard a message   =^=There will be a staff meeting in conference room 1, at 1600 ours.  All senior staff and department heads are recquired to be there.  I would also request the presence of all new crew members.  Have your department reports ready.=^= ~Time enough~   Jason thought and he began working out   (USS Nimitz - Holodeck - Ensign Jason Dema - 1534)   While still fully going up in his game he checked the time and didn't realise it was that late allready. he ended the simulation, quickly got his reports, and went on his way to the conference room.   (USS Nimitz - Conference room - Ensign Jason Dema - 1545)   as fast as he could he went to the conference room, thinking he was already too late, and without knocking he entered the room. there he only say Captain Sash. and there Jason stood, still all sweaty from his workout.   "Good afternoon Sir, sorry for my appearance, but I didn't wanted to be late."   (Reply Sash) (posted by Anthony Struelens)   Stardate:2406.05.18 (USS Nimitz – Nearby Engineering – OPS – Ensign Tannasg - 1300)   Tannasg made his way to engineering. Vanyssa said, glaring at the array of people around her. The new Counsellor was there, as was the CMO. ~I wonder what happened to Kestra...~ Vanyssa thought for a moment. Riven had shook his head, and said "no." first. "You are too weak." He said. Katie had backed him up almost immediantly ~traitor~ vanyssa thought to herself. The new CMO was called off to tend to another patient, and he had given her a look before going. "But it's a department meeting. I need to be there. I'm the First Officer." She said, pleading. "You are on medical leave." Riven stated, firmly. "You can get up tomorrow." "I am getting up right now." She stated plainly, swinging her legs over the bio bed and almost falling off of it. Riven had caught her, and it was almost electric. "Maybe..." Katie spoke, then got an answering glare from Riven. "And I'm hungry." Vanyssa stated, realizing that she was very very hungry. And not for something like soup, she wanted real food. Katie moved forward, helping Vanyssa down. "Well, lets get you to your Quarters and see about food then." She said, wondering if they could get out before the new CMO realized that Vanyssa was making her escape. Riven shook his head, seeing the typical Betazoid stubbornness, and therefore gave into the inevitable. He moved to her other side. (Quarters, 1400) Vanyssa and company had made it back to her Quarters, and it seemed with each passing step things got somewhat easier. When they got there, Katie helped her friend get into the shower, then climbed in to help her. Riven shook his head and went to the replicator, looking for some specific betazoid dishes that he knew that Vanyssa was craving. Riven thought about the things that anyone other than a Betazoid would think about two fully grown women in a shower together, then dismissed the thought as irrelevant. He walked around Vanyssa's Quarters, observing a hand other than her in the decorating. He looked at the picture of her with David and Katie and the children and shook his head. He knew that she had been attracted to David since they had met on the Vanguard, but.... He looked up as Vanyssa came out with Katie, dressed in her uniform. ~red really doesn't suit her.~ He thought, trying to keep it within his shields. Katie sniggered, and Vanyssa smiled. ::Being that I can pick that up, maybe I'm more Healed than you think, Mr. Mind-Healer.:: She said, looking at herself in the mirror. Katie had managed to pin her long red curls up in a braid that wrapped around her head. The formal red uniform didn't suit her at all, but she did like it. ::Perhaps you are, Blue-Eyes.:: He said, watching her. He kept his mind-tone calm, and resisted his feelings. ::I think your skin is too pale, as is your hair.:: Katie chimed in. ::On either me or Riven red would look great, but on you...just your luck to be one of the few betazoids to not have dark hair.:: She said, smiling widely. Just then the replicator decided to chime, and Riven opened it ferrying out the dishes. The room was suddenly assaulted by warm spicy smells of traditional betazoid food. Katie licked her lips, quite unconsciously, and Riven smiled. ::Lets eat something. You must be starving.:: He remarked at the way that Vanyssa dug into the pile of curried rice. She looked up and smiled. It was the one not quite traditional betazoid food that was on the table, but it was the closest in taste and texture to Hamat that Riven had found outside of the Southern Region of Betazed. ::I am. The food was good, but it was..I don't know. Bland. Not filling. It wasn't enough.:: She said, taking a bite out of the spiced blackened foul. Her eyes closed in pleasure and her mind hummed with happiness. ::Well we won't tell the good Doctor that.:: Riven said, smiling as he picked up one of the multi-seeded grained muffins, and slathered it in Grisa honey. ::Riven, how Healed is Vanyssa?:: Katie asked. An entirely Betazoid group generally kept things telepathic, something that Vanyssa and Katie couldn't do very often. Vanyssa turned as she heard the grill pop off and a small body propel herself out of it. ::Mummy!:: Jennah said throwing her arms around her mother. :: The Captain made me an officer!:: She said, showing off her pip. ::And he said I could stay on board and I could stop hiding!:: Katie looked flabbergasted and Riven was laughing. ::She's a very resourceful girl.:: He said, howling. ::Did she tell you that she called me? And told me to come here and that if I didn't, you would die?:: He wiped the tears of laughter out of his eyes. "Hammat!" Jennah said, happily. She went to get a plate and dug in. "Jennah?" Katie said very carefully. "How did you get back to the ship?" She asked, curious. ::Onyx and the plant guy.:: She said, grinning. ::And I told Great-Grandma that I was with T'ling and a couple of other people so she wouldn't be worried.:: "Why couldn't anyone find you?" Katie asked quietly, her meal almost forgotten. "Cuz of this." And Jennah held up the spider silk. "David told me to take it and go and hide if I ever needed to, so I went to one of the places and hid. The Captain found me cuz I called Riven." Jennah said, reaching for more of the Hammat. Vanyssa was shaking her head slowly, trying to remember something. "I... I left you and Kat on Betazed because it's safe there. It was wrong of you to disobey me and come back." Vanyssa said very carefully, trying to keep most of the disapproval out of her voice. Jennah looked at her in shock, burst into tears and ran out of the room. ::That didn't go very well.:: Katie remarked, as they heard the patter of knees on grill as Jennah took off. Vanyssa was holding her head in her hands, trying not to start crying herself. ::I am a really bad parent.:: She said. Riven got up and walked over to hug her, as did Katie. ::No, you aren't. It was wrong of her to come back, but she will not stay on that planet. And personally..I think she would smother there. Your grandmother is a well-meaning woman, but my goodness she can be very formal.:: Riven said, patting Vanyssa's hair then kissing her on the top of the head, before going back to his meal. "What ma I going to do with her?" Vanyssa asked out loud. Katie looked down at her food, and Riven, of course, just looked at her. ::Well, she does have a decided affinity towards science. Maybe ask one of the science folks if they would be willing to take her on as an apprentice?:: Riven asked. ::She is very intelligent.:: He finished, gathering up the plates. "You have a meeting to get to." He said. "The Captain asked me to come also." He turned to look at Katie, who was feeling very left out. Riven quickly moved over and gave her a hug, then a long kiss. ::Don't feel like that, beautiful.:: He said, smiling as he moved away. "Now I'm feeling left out." Vanyssa said with a grin. Riven smiled and bowed over Vanyssa's hand, kissing it gently. Both of the girls laughed then, and Riven took Vanyssa's arm. "we'll be back in a bit." He said with a smile to Katie. (USS Nimitz - Conference room - FO Commander Vanyssa Winters & Dr. Riven Mias - 1547) Riven walked in a half step behind Vanyssa, who somehow seemed to be standing taller, and more confident. He nodded to himself, and after she had taken her seat next to the Captain, he sat at the end of the table where he could see and hear everyone. Riven nodded at the Captain, keeping one eye and his mind tuned to Vanyssa. ::I'm not going to break!:: She said firmly. :: You did your work too well for that.:: She touched Sash's arm and smiled brightly at him. Somehow, Riven thought, the smile didn't exactly match the still very bruised exterior that she had. ::Vanyssa.:: He asked carefully. :` is that kid in gym clothing? It isn't an emergency.:: He said, carefully. Vanyssa nodded. ::Already made a note on it.:: She smiled, wondering how the new Ensign would take a reprimand from her. She stifled a yawn waiting for the others to show up. She was sleepy, maybe Riven was right, maybe she wasn't up to all of this yet. She pushed the doubts back into her mind and watched the other crew members as they came in. Kinkaid quickly recomposes himself by straightening up his uniform and proceeded to the emptied chair on the far side of the table and sat down. Kinkaid was not much of a conversationalist in a mass group, but did like a good joke when he heard one. Kinkaid sat idle by for the meeting to begin. (Reply anyone) (Posted by Nathan M. Kinkaid took a tubrolift for the Conference Room 1. While inside the lift, he asked the computer for the current time. The computer responded back. [Acknowledged. "I am sure that I need no introduction after the ... chaos... that I made the other day." She grinned, attempting to make it into a joke. "But I am the First Officer, Lt. Cmdr. Vanyssa Winters." She said. "And this is a civilian Doctor of Betazed, the head of the largest clinic on Betazed actually, Dr. Riven Mias." Riven nodded in the young man's direction. "Perhaps after the meeting, Ensign, we could have a talk." She smiled, feeling somewhat like a bad person. She had broken the uniform rule so many times that it didn't bear counting, but she was finally getting what Susan meant about military discipline. Vanyssa said a brief prayer for the safe recovery of her friend. Riven piped up just then. "I'm sure that the scientists welcome your presence, young man." Vanyssa tried very hard not to laugh, but her lips twitched a bit anyways. He had nearly over slept and had to rush at the last second out of his quarters. His stomach was still acting up and making him miserable. Zzt squirmed and twisted this way and that as he ran down the corridor, trying to get his head through the resisting cloth with out ripping it to shreds. His mad charge sent many a crewman running for cover as the giant engineer closed on the door to the conference room. Zzt charged right through, the doors barely having time to get completely open to allow him passage, his tunic still over his head. Zzt's paws, finally found their way through the sleeves peeking out the top. Then Zzt tripped, and went flying forward with a yelp of alarm. Zzt landed heavily onto the conference table, sending drinks and PADD's flying. The table groaned and cracked under Zzt's massive weight. His momentum carrying his forward, Zzt slid across the table, right at Captain Sash, sitting at the head of the table. Zzt came to a stop, his paws inches away from Sash's chest. Zzt peeked out the top of his uniform top at the Captain, and dropped the PADD he still held into Sash's lap. "Engineering readiness report," Zzt said, sheepishly. "Engineering readiness report," Zzt said, sheepishly. Zzt said, somewhat sheepishly. Just then the new Ensign, the one that was dressed inappropriately got up and applauded. "Now that guy knows how to make an entrance." Dema said. Vanyssa gave Sash a strange look as Riven said to her ::I take it that this is Jennah's bad teddy bear man?:: With a hint of laughter. Vanyssa felt the sides of her mouth perk up into a smile, then suppressed it. "Please take your seat, Lt. Zzt." She said very kindly. "Thank you for being so prompt." And Vanyssa leaned over and patted Zzt on the arm, smiling kindly at him. She gave Dema a dirty look. "Ensign, that is not appropriate behavior to show to a superior officer." Vanyssa chastised. She tempered it with a smile. "Please take your seat also." She sat back down in her seat, resisting the urge to wipe her hands on the wet spots on her uniform, and resisting the urge to start laughing.
